Born in the South of France, Nadege Hajee-Sanz grew up with a passion, to be a photographer. At an early age she learnt about developing and exhibited her first collection of black and white portraits.
At the age of twenty-one she moved to Paris. While working as an assistant on catalogues and album covers with photographers such as Clauss Wicrath (who was very popular in the 90’s), she had a realisation that she wanted to become a freelance photographer.
She then went on to create her own portfolio and specialised in fashion photography. During this period Sanz collaborated with Editorials such as Elle, Marie Claire (France), Cosmopolitan, FHM, Dealer de Luxe, Muteen, Jalouse, Blast, Radikal ane Nova. She shot advertising campaigns for brands such as Morgan, Arnette, Dorortennis, Liza, Korn and SNCF.
After working a decade in Paris, Sanz was commissioned to travel to South Africa where she fell in love with Cape Town.
During the last six years Sanz has worked with many clients in South Africa such as Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Chew, Fairlady and Glamour and maintained international clientele such as Catogues for Itchi, B-Young (Denmark) and Truworths.
Sanz’s signature photography is expressive of her style through unique moments with a touch of natural sophistication and a hint of elegance and femininity. Mood and texture are two major aspects in Sanz’s eye as she enjoys shooting in amazing locations and their beautiful surroundings.
